Course & Clubhouse Rules

Rules of  Play

Out of Bounds (Rule 18): Beyond any white stakes or course boundaries. This includes the access road behind the 9th green, the car park, clubhouse surrounds, practice putting green, and the irrigation reservoir left of the 4th hole.

Penalty Areas (Rule 17): Water hazards are marked with yellow stakes; lateral hazards with red stakes.

Note for 8th Hole: Any ball entering the lateral hazard behind the green between the blue stakes must be played from the designated dropping zone (front-right of the green) under penalty.

Obstructions: * Movable: Stones in bunkers (Rule 15-2).

​

Immovable: All paths, telegraph poles, fixed sprinkler heads within two club-lengths of the green, and the wooden fence adjacent to the 18th green (Rule 16-1b).

​

Overhead Power Lines: If a ball strikes a power cable, the stroke must be disregarded. Play another ball from the original spot without penalty.

​

No Play Zones: Any area defined by blue stakes is a No Play Zone. Relief must be taken (Rule 16-1b). This includes the protection of young trees; you may lift and clean your ball before dropping.

​

Greenkeeping & Aeration: Relief may be taken from greenkeepers' workings. On putting greens, balls resting in aeration holes may be moved to the nearest spot (not nearer the hole) without penalty.

​

Penalty for Breach: Match Play – Loss of Hole | Stroke Play – Two Strokes.

Dress Code & Etiquette

We kindly ask all members and visitors to maintain an acceptable standard of dress befitting the club.

​

On the Course

  • Footwear: Standard golf shoes are required. Training shoes are not permitted.

  • Shirts: Collared or polo-neck shirts must be worn at all times. Please ensure shirts are tucked in unless specifically designed to be worn untucked. Sleeveless shirts (for gentlemen) and abbreviated sun tops (for ladies) are not permitted.

  • Trousers & Shorts: Tailored trousers or tailored shorts only. Blue denim, tracksuits, or athletic/boxer-style shorts are not allowed on the course.

  • Socks: When wearing shorts, gentlemen should wear plain-colored ankle socks.

In the Clubhouse

  • General: A smart-casual standard is expected. On formal occasions, jackets and ties may be requested.

  • Denim: Clean, blue denim jeans are permitted within the Clubhouse.

  • Hats: Caps and visors must be removed before entering the Clubhouse and should never be worn back-to-front on the course.

  • Footwear: Golf shoes are strictly prohibited inside the Clubhouse, except within the locker rooms.

Note: Juniors aged 10 and under are excused from strict dress rules, though parental discretion is appreciated.
